Nearsighted or Farsighted: Eye Conditions You Should be Concerned About

Being nearsighted and farsighted are common eye conditions that are essentially opposites of each other.

Nearsightedness or myopia is an eye condition in which you are able to see nearby objects distinctly, but far objects are indistinct. For example, you can read a book without any problem, but driving will be difficult because you cannot see clearly the vehicles, road signs, stop lights, and pedestrians a certain distance away from you.

On the other hand, farsightedness or hyperopia is an eye condition in which you are able to see far objects distinctly, but near objects are indistinct.
